CarbonFly, a next-generation carbon nanotube company,
Selected as a participant in Tokyo’s “SusHi Tech Global Startups” Phase 2

~ Building on the achievement of mass production of high-performance carbon nanotubes,
the company is accelerating its global expansion toward a sustainable future

Carbonfly Co., Ltd. (Koto-ku, Tokyo), a company that develops and sells high-performance carbon nanotubes (hereinafter “CNTs”) and the equipment used to manufacture them, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of 39 startups for the second phase of “SusHi Tech Global,” a startup strategy promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

“SusHi Tech Global” is a program launched by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as part of its “Sustainable High City Tech (SusHi Tech)” initiative to provide robust support to startups striving to drive social change and global growth through sustainable technology.

■Future OutlookCarbon Fly has developed “Caltema®,” a proprietary manufacturing system capable of precisely controlling and mass-producing high-quality CNTs, and is advancing the practical application of this technology across a wide range of fields, including aerospace, aviation, and sports. By being selected for this program, Carbonfly will benefit from multifaceted support provided by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, including assistance with exhibiting at domestic and international trade shows and access to networks to facilitate overseas expansion. This will enable us to further accelerate the adoption of CNTs as next-generation materials that reduce environmental impact, not only in Japan but also in the global market.
